Toilet Duct
If you are the kind of person who likes their air ring close to the action then you should feel flushed with success with this filament cooling duct.
Ok, not just a joke. This design should work very well, I'd appreciate feedback from any that give it a go.
As usual I'm trying to design the perfect cooling duct, although I still think the stock duct really isn't that bad when paired with a better blower. See my Better Blower Thingy for my take on that concept.
For this duct,on the plus side:
-The air nozzles are much closer to the action, which may be of benefit
On the minus side:
-Like all ducts with this kind of design the hot end isn't quite as accessible
If i may be so bold I'd suggest if you're looking try a duct upgrade it's a toss-up between this one and my Tentacle duct. Don't forget to upgrade your blower - IMO a mod that gives a greater return for your efforts.
As it happens I'm currently using my Tentacle duct as I like the convenience of the improved hot end access, but life would be very dull if we all had the same point of view so I did my best spin on the close-ring duct type too.
