Exploring parts trays and evolving a few options around Thingiverse. These divided trays are nice and small. The basic shape originates with others who are making miniature cabinets of trays of various sizes and functions. Started remixing one tray from @wkarraker - a 12-bin tray to get to this started.
The reference files I began with had a different approach than I wanted for my application. The file had a few manifold issues, and a few wayward faces on the bottom in the STL available then so I fixed those. I then thickened the base a bit, changed handle design and orientation and began the process of added latching spots for a lid, and then designed the lid and stacking-carcass from scratch.
UPDATES
Added a lid - fits nicely, the latch firm but usable. To use: pinch the front tray handle, and use other thumb on lid's tab to open/close. Easy-peasy.
Initial tray top-edge mesh fixes.
Fixed up the 4bin tray's mesh issues, added lid-latch holes and pinch-handle
Various small edits continue - in progress.
Added two and one compartment files
Added full assembly pic (hot off printer, not quite cleaned up yet, but illustrative)
Watch this space - this is a thing in progress for now. Hope to turn it into a little pkg of stuff that works together to store some little fiddly things.
A nod also to @FatalError3141 whose trays and cabinets were a source of inspiration. Though I've changed many elements of those design it was a good starting place.
