Excited from some Timelapse videos on YouTube, i wanted to make some Timelapses for my own.
Timelapses are working more realistic, if a think near to the camera moves slowly while recording.
My idea is to use my Android-smartphone to take the picture but also to control the movement after calcing the steps and times between the pictures. The Sourcecode für Android and Adruino is included.
The smartphone connects to this machine via bluetooth. in the wagon an arduino nano mit a accu from RC-Car is responsible for the communication with the smartphone and controls the stepper motor.
Additional 2 switches at the bottom are use by the software, to calibrate the position. In calibration mode startet on the Android, the wagon drives to the given end until a switch is closed. The Adruino programm stops the motor und starts to drive slowly into the opposite direction until the switch is releasing. The wagon is now calibrated,
The smartphone itsself is attached with a ball head joint, so you can adhust it.
I am offering a case for my smartphone MI5. Don't wonder about the open bottom, this ist made to move my smartphone in it WITH the bookcase so i have not to extract the phone every time.
This case is very simple, you can change ist so it is fitting to your phone. A 123Design file is included.
Have fun and post links to your records on YouTube!
