This cyclonic separator is my first THING so be nice. I was wanting to buy a cyclonic separator but couldn't find anything for less the $70 so I took a look on Thingiverse and saw some rudimentary separators. They weren't quite what I wanted so I threw something together real quick. The infeed and outfeed are sized for standard 1.25" hose. I'll eventually upgrade to a larger hose.
I added a couple of specific features:
1) Mathematical dimensions based on the
"Puu-0_4400_cyclone_calculation_sheet.xls" spreadsheet from Neil Stone
2) Added an input feed down ramp to remove the turbulent dead zone introduced by the infeed.
3) Broke the design into three pieces(bottom, top, and outfeed), with separation between the pieces for simple glue together assembly.
4) Added a support to the bottom to ease mounting the cyclone to a 5 gallon bucket or similar.
Required Additional Hardware:
4 - Size 10 Bolts
4 - Size 10 Nuts
8 - Size 10 Washers
This design printed well on my Prusa I3 and has been eating all my table saw(building a shoe bench) can put out for the last couple of weeks.
