"Make It Move" with the new Thinkfun Maker Studio Make It Move Expansion Set!
This set features six new components to assist in building more complex and more movable creations.
Gear Chain
Hook gears together and transfer rotational power from a distance! Two parts (Chain Link and Chain Pin), with multiple STL file configurations available.
Hinge
Connect two rods together and make them move with this hinge component. Three parts (Hinge Conn 1, Hinge Conn 2, and Hinge Pin). Print them all at once using the combined "Hinge" STL file.
Segmented Swivels
This component can be used to shape curving rods. There are three parts to this component. The Swivel Ball Rod is the starting piece. From there, you can connect Swivel Segments (as many as you'd like). Then, you cap it off with a Swivel Socket Rod piece. Multiple STL file configurations available.
6-Way Rod Connector
A simple but necessary piece for connecting rods in 6 directions. A single part print.
Reciprocating Gear
Another simple but necessary piece. This (large) gear has an added rod attachment hole. Use it as a crank, or to transfer rotational movement to linear movement. A single part print.
Extra Large Wheel
Need a bigger wheel? Yeah, I did too. That's why the incredible "Extra Large Wheel" has made its way into the expansion set! Never have you been more amazed at the size of a wheel! Look at it, and feel free to wonder at its abundant abundance. A single part print (if your 3D printer is big enough!!!).
Note: I have not test printed these items, because I do not have a 3D printer or reasonable access to one. I worked hard on this set in hopes to win one! I also worked hard on this set to ensure the parts fit right, and print easily. Thank you for your understanding.
