Hi everyone! As many of you was expecting this is The Orbiter v1.5 open source high precision extruder design.

This extruder version was designed in cooperation with LDO Motors and Vivedino, without their great support this product would not exist!
Special thanks to the Voron community to make this design so popular!

Short Spek:
- Gear ratio - 7.5:1
- Filament pushing force:
- LDO-36STH17-1004AHG 17mm stepper up to 7.7Kg @0.7A
- LDO-36STH20-0504AHG 20mm stepper up to 9.4Kg @0.7A
- Filament acceleration up to 660mm/s^2
- Retraction speed: 60mm/s
- Overall weight is about 140g (with the 17mm stepper)
- Maximum operating temperature ~120 C

Main differences to V1:
- DuPont Delrin molded planetary gears;
- Glass fiber reinforced Nylon housing and latch;
- Filament exit guide part of the extruder housing;
- PTFE tube connector on top;
- some internal bearings dimension has been changed to simplify assembly and improve the molding process quality.

Of course you can still print all the parts by yourself as in case of the v1.0, but the aluminum spider shafty is still recommended.

Firmware configuration:
- Stepps: 650-700 stepps/mm @ 16 micro-stepping
- Acceleration: 600 mm/s^2
- Maximum instantaneous speed change (jerk): 300 mm/min(RRF), 5 (Marlin)
- Maximum speed: 3600 mm/min
- Motor current: 0.5A(LDO-36STH17-1004AHG) 0.9A(Wantai 36BYGH218)
- Pressure advance: 0.02s
- Retraction: ~1.2mm
- Retraction speed: 60mm/s

Assembly Hints

All planet gears and gear housing shall be printed out of PETG, Nylon PA12 with 0.1mm layer height.

The Orbiter v1.5 housing and latch shall be printed with a layer height of 1.5-0.2mm with supports. Out of PETG, Nylon PA12.

A better option for the gears would be to use a professional printing service and MJF print them out of Nylon PA12 or GPA12.

All the gears must be lubricated using good quality silicone based grease
