The kit of Wooden movable-type printing of China by wenzhouray

The first person to invent movable-type printing in the word was Bi Sheng in Northern Song Dynasty of China, and this invention dates back to more than 900 years ago. Due to the emergence of computer typesetting and digital printing, the movable-type printing is rarely used by people now. In 2010, the movable-type printing was inscribed on the "List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding" by UNESCO.
With the wooden movable-type printing of Dongyuan, Wenzhou (the only remained and still used wooden movable-type printing known in China) as template, my research group made a kit of wooden movable-tpye printing through 3D scanning, digital processing and 3D printing techniques. By digitizing wooden movable-type printing, we hope to make a contribution to spreading and protecting wooden movable type.
We got help from many friends in this project. We express our sincere appreciation to them here.
