The former Kenilworth by the sea Hotel (demolished in 1978)

This is a model of the former Kenilworth hotel, which was very recommended among tourists and travelers. It was also famous because of its huge and luxurious convention center. The architectural style is named MiMo, Miami Modern. This is a style that has changed over the years, and has been influenced by the various other styles in Miami. It's only present in Miami, hence the name Miami Modern. The building has a dramatically asymmetric façade; with a small tower in the middle. The sides of this tower are decorated with sober vertical relief straps. This depicts the Streamline Moderne era; around the 1930s and 1940s. Several eyebrows, influenced by Art Deco, wrap around the building. Also a grand front entrance with a sunroof was added to the design. The building was owned by famous broadcaster Arthur Godfrey, who placed a sign in front of it saying ,,NO DOGS OR JEWS ALLOWED'. The hotel was purchased by the Kirkeby chain in 1951, and later in 1975 sold to the city. It stood abandonned for several years, and it was finally demolished in 1978. I don't know the exact date of construction of the Kenilworth; estimations go from 1945 (this is how the design looks), back to the 1920s (because in the 1920s, the hotel develops a anti-jew policy, says Wikipedia).
