--UPDATE JAN 2021 Includes revised sockets and new extender pieces with extended Kwawu bolts --
This is a simple universal prosthetic socket designed for people with long forearm trans-radial amputations, who have difficulty with solid sockets that extend the device past the distance of a normal hand or for people who do not have access to solid or professional fitted sockets.
The socket is one piece, printed flat with TPU filament to allow the three sides to fold around recipient's residual limb which is then fastened with velcro or other straps. Best practice is to have recipient wear a sock or / and add skin safe padding to the socket.
There are 4 sizes, Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large and each size can be trimmed to fit recipient's needs. For attaching any type terminal device we have provided a no hole version for modifying in Tinkercad or other CAD software and we include our tested version that has a modified Gripper Thumb that accepts a Kwawu wrist bolt which is a very strong fastener and easily printed.

We have now tested the Charin Socket on three recipients and it is named after our first recipient, a boy named Charin who prefers it to wearing the Unlimbited Arm and the Kwawu 2 devices we also made for him to compare. Our two adult recipients shared similar responses after trying all three devices - the Charin is lighter and more practical for work / play / sport situations.
