This is an "adapter" that shifts the mounting holes for the controller board to fit the MKS Base Gen L v1.0
It originally runs MKS Base v1.4 with soldered on DRV8825 stepper drivers, I wanted to use my TMC2208 and had a unused Gen L board, but the hole pattern between the PCBs wasn't the same (and the position of the USB would be misaligned.)
Mounting
This is an adapter that at least I could press fit on the old screw pillars (but I also secured it with the original M3 bolts)
Then you can either use self tapping screws or some more M3-bolts to screw on the Gen L board into the shifted holes.
Stepper drivers
Jumpers on MS1 and MS2 on all TMC2208 configures them to 1/16 microstepping.
Jumpers on CFG2 (not CFG0 or CFG1) configures DRV8825 to 1/16 microstepping.
Same as original, so no need to reconfigure steps per mm, it's the same as the orginal.
X
TMC2208 VREF 0.8V (equals 0.57A)
Y
TMC2208 VREF 0.8V (equals 0.57A)
Z
TMC2208 VREF 1.4V (equals 1.0A)
(probably overkill, was tired of tinkering, but 0.8V was too low at least)
E
DRV8825 VREF 0.5V (equals 1.0A)
Couldn't get this to work with the TMC2208 without configuring it, it lost steps.
But also note that I don't have the normal bowden setup. I've a direct drive 3mm titan extruder mounted.
LCD
Also note that you must remove the tabs from the display cables and flip it "the wrong way" in the MKS Base Gen L. At least mine was soldered the wrong way around (or the LCD was, I don't really know)
