.....STAY TUNED AND KEEP CHECKING BACK, NEW RENDERINGS ARE BEING ADDED EVERYDAY!! A NEW VIDEO HAS BEEN ADDED!

The Terrafugia TF-X Cloud Hopper is the worlds first, practical, consumer land air vehicle. This is definitely a flying car you're not ashamed to drive around also. It's able to drive, or fly comfortably over long distances on the road or air. It is an electric/gasonline hybrid. Powered by a turbocharged, 500hp petrol engine and a 450hp electric motor. These two power plants are located in the rear of the plane just under the wings so the weight is centered under the wings. The gas engine and electric drive are run through a state of the art transmission system that let's the flyver (driver/flyer) switch between power to the rear prop, all wheel drive, or a split differential of both, 40/60, 50/50 or 60/40.

Max crusing Air speed: 550kph (3xcesna 172)
Max land speed wheel driven: 320Kph
Max land speed, wheel/prop driven:420kph

Max range in air: 3400km (3xCesna 172)
Max range on land: 1500km

There are two electric motors located in the wing pods. The pods can be rotated up to 90 degree for shorter take off's. These are responsible for lift thrust and forward motion. The props fold down via a simple push rod system, and the whole wing assembly retracts in by 20", and then folds.

Everything is thought through as if it had to be built in the real world. one of the main design feature is the large, star trek enterprise style center mast that supports the wings and also acts as a gas tank. The batteries are housed under the cockpit and up into the rear quarter. I kept an overhanging wing design just because I felt it offered the best layout possible and I wanted the engine pods to sit up high when folded instead of down low for better clearance for rocks and debris while in car mode(Land configuration). Rather than explain all the features here, please carefully read through all the 8K poster boards and renderings which will go over all the features and details of the vehicle.

Most images are HD quality 1920-3000px. The main poster boards with all the description and writing are 8K, so if they appear small, it's best to download them and view them in full resolution.

All these images and the model are not for resale or commercial use.

Some of the renderings(images) are good quality but not the BEST that can be achieved just due to the time limitations of the project. However I can provide professional quality renderings, good enough for promotional use, upon request.

miscellaneous notes:

So this model was so heavy I couldn't save it to IGS, or .STEP in it's entirety. I managed to include a STEP file of the body, but the front surface didn't translate. I've included an assembly file that is an assembly of the main large components(saved themselves as part files). I've thrown in the individual part files but the assembly will want to be re-pointed to them. or you can just take the individual parts and rebuild the assembly, it doesn't take that long.

The original model I built consisted of sub-assemblies upon sub-assemblies, everything was mated and able to articulate. Such as the wheels lowering, wings folding etc. It would be too large and cumbersome to upload.

I've also used quite a few parts from the grab cad community, but most of them are modified to some extent...here is a comprehensive list of what went into this model.

The "Cloud Hopper" body, exterior and interior form and design, wings, pods, tailwings, suspension, suspension brackets and components, wheels, chassis and transmission etc. are all my design.
