This air/space-craft was developed in 2053 to transport Marines and Special Forces from Naval Deep Space Carriers to ground landing zones when colonies on Mars and Luna faced large scale rebellion and terrorism. The United Earth Space Authority needed a dropship that could maneuver in space, exit/ re-enter atmosphere, to be as fast and agile as a space fighter, but hold the same amount of troops as the aging MV-22 Osprey at the same time. The UESA Marine Corps adopted the aircraft, as a multimission, space/high atmosphere to ground troop transport vessel. The Falcon operates similar to its predecessor, with the Tilt Thruster antimatter engines for vertical take-off and landing. Other than a familiar look, this is where the similarities end. The stern of the dropship is a multi-engine stabilizing platform, which also controls some of the ship’s pitch and all yaw. She is fitted with shield generators to protect from re-entry heat buildup. She is airtight, and compartmentalized into 2 sections. The cockpit and troop hold are separated by small airlock. The Falcon is powered by Antimatter. With the discovery of Faster than light travel in 2061, she was fitted with a small FTL drive, powered by antimatter, which is to be used during a time of emergency to travel a max distance of 10 light years.
