Sushi Maker

As a family, we like sushi nori rolls. Making it at home means we can come up with our own stuffings. This sushi maker assists with the filling process. Perhaps not traditional Japanese, but we find it useful. The maker is optimised for a standard nori sheet of about 190 x 210mm.

The sushi maker inside dimension are: 56 x 56 x 194mm. The maker includes cutting slots, so a full length roll can be cut into 8 pieces.

The maker is in 3 printed parts. The handle is secured to the tamper with 2 6g (3.5mm) x 15mm stainless steel screws. Here is my 3D design. My design may match your needs, too.

A (over-simplified) roll filling guide:
1. Place a 10mm sushi rice layer.
2. Include filling (be creative)
3. Place a 10mm sushi rice top layer.
4. Tamper the rice and filling.
5. Complete the roll.
6. Cut.

My print is made in PETG 1.75mm 3DFillies red filament, with 0.2mm layer height and 25% infill on a PRUSA I3 MK3S printer.

I hope you can find this design useful, too.

Remember to leave me some feedback or even a tip to keep me enthused to make more of these drawings.
