This two halves snap on bracket design is carefully designed to include store spring force energy in the parabolic curve surface (highlighted in orange color in rendering pictures of Half B) to help the half B clamp on to half A with compression force. Half A is the main weight carrying half. The blue color highlighted surfaces on the Half A have second moment of areas thus making the half extremely strong. When assembled, the two halves hook on to each other. Half B presses on Half A making it difficult to slide along the hand rail. The contact securing surfaces of the two halves of the clamp is designed to be in the shape of parabolic curve (highlighted in yellow color in pictures) so that the neither of the half slips along the handrail’s axis nor rotates around it.
Clamp can easily be released by pulling the red color highlighted tabs on Half B.
Halves can easily be 3D printed. No support structures are required wile printing.
The instructions on how to assemble, disassemble and 3D print are uploaded in jpeg files.
