This exclusive Dexterdoodle Panorama and Studio Cube Backdrop set is a must have for still or animation work. The set contains three backdrop designs that can be textured with any digital photo or material.The Studio Cube has two walls and a floor. Each can be textured independently. Materials are included for stucco walls and an image texture for the floor. These can, of course, be changed to match your needs. Two or more cubes can be used together to create a full room scene. Images can be added to the walls to complete the look of the room.There are two Panoramic Backdrops, flat and sphere. These allow the camera to pan the scene to give it a large area look. This is especially good for animation! Flat is designed for straighter backgrounds, such as a fence or street type background. The sphere is designed for wide outdoor scenes or outer space images (be sure to check out the sample video). You can add any digital image or texture to the these backdrops to create a large scene. Several sample images are included. UV maps are included in the textures directory to help you line up your image to the backdrop. You can use bump, transparency, reflection, displacement, movie or other maps to make the scene look as real as you need. The volcano scene texture has a bump map example.For best results place a point light high in the center of the scene, this will help illuminate the backdrop evenly. You can also use the image as the ambient/emit color and increase the ambient value to give the background a brighter color look.
