I designed a straight part cooler shroud for my Aero/volcano setup
It is a straight forward kind of thing with wide channels to deliver large quantities of air to the part.
I printed this one in a new heat resistant filament as it sits very close to the hotend (5mm).
First tests are promising. Delivers the air where I wanted it to go and the shroud survives (up to now) the vicinity of the hotend
print settings used
0,2mm layers (of course with the 0,6mm nozzle )
260°C hot end
120°C Bed
Cooling : fan at 33% from layer 10 on
Printer closed (No extra insulation, just 3mm of clear PC around)
Printing speed 100mm/s
Brim : 10 outlines to have a larger surface on the glass
Adhesion : 3Dlac spray (kind of hairspray for printers)
treatment
I did not heat it in an oven to 60°C as stated in the process for the filament, but let it cool down slowly in the hot printer to get rid of the tensions. Then cured it as specified @110°
enjoy!
