This is my first built from scratch 3d model. My inspiration came from the Millennium Falcon and the Outrider from Shadows of the Empire. I used Tinkercad and scaled it to match Bandai's 1/144th Millennium Falcon. As it is my 1st build I made a few mistakes. The only one that matters to me is that the engine is a mm or 2 higher than it should be, but since its star wars and symmetry is unheard of in that galaxy, I suspect it only adds to its appeal lol.
I designed the ship to be detailed after printing with plasticard and 3d printed greeblies, thus the lack of surface detail. There are 2 versions, one without the ramp and one with the ramp.
I have uploaded many different printable configurations. The one pictured was Printed on the mp mini v2, which has a 4x4x4 build surface. Built in 8 pieces.
The landing gear was remixed from this creators files (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2500827). Build 4 of them.
Update. I added a much more detailed version of the ship using files from these 2 creators (https://www.myminifactory.com/object/star-wars-millennium-falcon-hasbro-missing-details-51628), (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2609670), and guns from this creator (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2535503/#files). The guns will need support.
I made a dish for it, I printed it with support, touching build plate only, using cura. You will need to sand a little, as its a friction fit. The landing bay doors are also friction fit but I did not need to sand them. I was going to make the guns friction fit as well but there so small I figured I would either glue them on or use wire to mount them. Both halves of the ship were printed with 8% infill, 1.2mm thick walls, and without support, with only a few places with filament droop. Mainly the docking rings and the forks, all easily fixed with a little sanding or cutting.
I have still not figured out how to add armor plates to the ships round sections and plan to use .010 plastic sheet to add them instead. here's a link to the plastic I'll be using, (https://www.ebay.com/itm/Package-of-4-WHITE-STYRENE-PLASTIC-SHEET-010-THICK-8-X-12/272700619143?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649)
