These bins are designed for modular storage of the Star Wars Legion miniatures INSIDE the core box.
They are made to stack using magnets (Void for magnets is 5mm x 1mm. I use 3/16 diameter by 1/32 which fit perfectly).
A magnet is required either inside the model's base, or in the bin, with metal washers in the corresponding space.
Cards and activation token have their own slots in each bin so you can have everything you need in one block. I have it sized so that normal FFG sleeved cards can fit nicely (95mm x 67mm and 45mm x 67mm).
The AT-RT bin also has a small space for extra weapons. I've just glued a bit of metal in mine for my magnetized weapons to cling to.
The dimensions are such that you can fit two stacks of four next to each other and fit inside the Legion core box. This leaves room at the side for the ruler, tokens and dice trays. This also leaves enough space in the corner for ease of removing bins, and for command token draw bag.
Ready:
Troopers
AT-RT
Speeder Bikes
Special Forces
Commanders (Four commanders): fits all tokens and cards for four commanders. Darth Vader's striking pose DOES fit in this tray, though I doubt that two Vaders could share the same bin...
Commander/Operative: Fits 5 units with tokens and cards.
Commanders (Two commanders): Fits activation tokens, upgrade/character cards for two trooper commanders. Lord Vader's pose is too much for this bin to handle, though Luke, Leia and many corps troopers have tested to fit.
E-Web emplacement Trooper.
Lid (Rebel and Empire symbols)
Dice box: Fits two full sets of dice with 4 slots for tokens for using in game.
Card box: Divided in two halves for character cards and upgrade cards.
Ruler tray: Range and movement rulers. ID tokens.
Token tray: Fits stacks of each token type, including round dial and deployment guides (which fit under the round dial).
In Progress:
Thematic textures for lids (roof texture, multiple lids creating a landing pad, etc)
Trying to figure out if AT-ST and T-47 are worth designing bins for.
1.4FD: this will likely require a more thematic large bin/terrain feature, as with the ATST/T47.
Update Sept 14, 2019: Added trooperX9 bin for droid squads!
Update Sept 14, 2019: After having another child, here's a new update! Tauntauns should fit in the Speeder bike bins, though I haven't yet built mine yet. I'm working on 9-figure bins that will work for the B1's. The emplacement troopers that come with Vets/Shore troopers should fit in existing bins, though I'll have to see if a combined bin is feasible. The generic Commander/Operative bin should be sufficient without creating something unique for each, though I may work on some new textures (always open for suggestions, as long as the external dimensions don't change. Suggestions for 3D lids is open for some depth, though!)
Update Nov 11, 2018: Added Eweb.
Update Oct 27, 2018: Added new Commander/Operative bin that holds 5 minis, including all command cards, 5 command tokens and plenty of upgrade cards.
Update Oct 20, 2018: Added generic unit bin based off of previous SF bin. Will hold 8 minis (corps, specialists, SF, etc) with two command tokens, cards and up to 6 condition/mine sized tokens.
Update Oct 13, 2018: Added bin for Special Forces units. Can hold up to 8 minis with cards and tokens.
Update Aug 11, 2018: Fixed commander_bin_4 to correct card size issue (same issue that window bin had). Also fixed some dimensions and holes for the Token bin, added token_bin_v2.
Update July 26, 2018: Added lid with rounded bumps in the corners, kind of like the roof of the Endor bunker?
Update July 25, 2018: Fixed overhang for bunker textures.
Update July 24, 2018: Added ruler_bin (220mm x 95mm) and split options A&B (110mm x 95mm). Added token_bin. Range rulers, movement rulers and ID tokens fit in the ruler_bin. All other tokens fit in token_bin. I'll get some images of the bins in use.
Update July 15, 2018: Fixed weird separation and overhang on Trooper bin.
Update May 26, 2018: Fixed Commander bin (with windows) due to card size mistake.
Update May 24, 2018: Added Window design for the Commander bin and rotated Bunker design for Speeder Bikes and AT-RT.
Update May 15, 2018: Created textures for the outsides of the bins, as I found myself using them as terrain pieces during the game. Started with an Endor styled Bunker, but will create variations for the different unit bins. As well as making lids that look like rooftops instead of faction symbols.
