This is a full sized Staunton style chess set optimised for 3D printing.
Using a FDM printer, all but one of the pieces can be printed without supports if you use the files that have separate bases and tops for each piece. The Knight top needs support just under its chin. (popular slicers let you selectively apply supports and this is better than letting the slicer put supports everywhere).
I have also provided all-in-one models if you have other types of printer that either doesn't need support or has a facility for dissolvable supports or some such.
Another printing tip is to tell your slicer to "align the seam" on each layer. Otherwise your model may have the start and end points for each layer all over the place, causing "zits". On some colours of filament you don't notice this but when I printed my white pieces in a silk white filament without this setting, they looked a mess.
