An adapter for a spool, that fits a bearing in one side and the inner spool hole in the other.
It ensures that the spool is placed centered on the rod for smooth turning.
Spool inner diameter: 52.1mm (manufacturer says 53mm)
Bearing: Type 608 (skateboard size, diameter 22mm, depth 7mm)
I made this for an 8mm rod, but it should fit up to 11 mm as long as the bearings support it.
I attached the SCAD file, so you can easily adjust dimensions.
Instructions:
Stuff needed:
2x printed parts (one on each end of the spool)
2x bearings type 608
1x 8mm rod
2x M8 nuts
2x M8 swimmers
The bearings should just fit the bearing holes with a little pressure.
Insert the bearings into the prints
Insert the prints into the spool
Put there whole thing on a rod. Be sure to use swimmers between the nuts and the bearings.
Assemble like on the picture on your own spool holder.
