This adapter facilitates using square or rectangular material with the Snapmaker Rotary Module for 4-axis CNC, as shown on page 7 of the Snapmaker Rotary Module Quick Start Guide, and in the Snapmaker Rotary Module Video Tutorial. It is customizable for the precise dimensions of the material you wish to use. There are two different ways to use this adapter:
You can use a flat head screw to firmly fasten the adapter to the material, and then inward clamp the adapter into the 3-jaw chuck on the headstock. The advantage of this approach is that the tailstock is not required. However, after removing the material from the adapter, there will be a hole in the bottom of the material.
You can use two of these adapters: use inward clamping to clamp one adapter into the 3-jaw chuck on the headstock, and then use the tailstock with a second adapter to secure the material between the tailstock and the headstock. The advantage of this approach is that no holes need to be made in the material to secure the material to the Snapmaker. However, the use of the tailstock restricts carving the top of the material. (Note that the tailpiece adapter can be printed with a round Length of 0, since there are no clamping jaws on the tailstock.)
