small gear box worm extremely high torque this is the last in the line of motors for me this motor has more torque than a 15 gear boxes with only 3 gears i would say that is pretty darned impressive i am extremely proud of myself even if nobody else is
this is the beefiest gear box as far as gears that i have ever seen so i don't believe it is possible to strip the gears the gear that would strip if any would be the worm but easily replaceable
considering a safety gear but the safety gears in the boxes that i purchase cancels the possible torque that the gear box is capable of making the gear boxes absolutely useless with these safety gears i always have to bypass these devices
print the worm flat at max resolution on a raft i have pen printing at .2 layer height and they have ben coming out good my printer goes down to .1 and that is just slightly better quality but you will have to do some post filling on this gear the easiest way to post process is to attach to the motor and take a piece of sand paper and realy lightly smooth the out side then take a triangle file and clean between the worm not a lot of post processing but defiantly not to much
work the gears and box together one at a time first get second gear and worm worked in before inserting the other gears
cut the pens at
22 mm for second and third gear
16 mm for the output gear
