After a lot of hours of trying I've finally created this thing.
The goal was to have a Fan and a on/off Switch on my Skyzone without modifing my goggles itself and without loosing warranty.
Every button is still usable (even better then before, bacause the "cap" gives some guidance where the buttons are.
How to assemble it:
Print the 3 Parts as shown above. - everything can be printed without supports
1) Cap: Screw a 5.5/2.1 jack in the left side. Wire and solder it through the mounting hole on the back of the cap.
I used this jack:https://www.conrad.at/de/niedervolt-steckverbinder-buchse-einbau-vertikal-55-mm-21-mm-1-st-738190.html
Get the wire through the tunnel and solder it to the switches (one switch for the Fan, the other one for the goggles itself.
I used these switches:https://www.conrad.at/de/kippschalter-250-vac-3-a-1-x-einein-goobay-knx-1-rastend-1-st-701343.html
and this fan:https://www.conrad.at/de/axialluefter-12-vdc-594-mh-l-x-b-x-h-30-x-30-x-10-mm-sunon-ha30101v3-0000-a99-184263.html
The switch for the goggles itself has to be cabled to 5.5/2.1 plug that will plug into the goggles later.https://www.conrad.at/de/niedervolt-anschlusskabel-niedervolt-stecker-kabel-offenes-ende-55-mm-21-mm-voltcraft-2-m-1-st-749163.html
Once everything cabled and the Fan is mouted you can screw on the RotorRiot Fanguard and fill the mounting hole with hot glue (not mandatory)
2) The faceplate it thin enough to bend (you can apply some heat if needed in your oven -
All the faceplates I've printed (in PETG) was easy enough to bend, even without applying heat. And I've printed a lot until it was perfect.
Then put it on your goggles. The small clamps on the faceplate will hold it in place.
Push it to the top and screw it together with the "cap" - 4 Small M3 screws are needed. Countersunk flat heads will suit best. Now everything is secured.
3) Final steps: Get the foam that came with your Skyzones and stick it onto the new faceplate. Get out and fly your quad.
