Jatropha integerrima, commonly known as peregrina or spicy jatropha, is a species of flowering plant in the spurge family, Euphorbiaceae, that is native to Cuba and Hispaniola. Jatropha integerrima is an evergreen shrub (small tree) that grows to 4.5m tall. It has glossy leaves that are variable in shape, with bright rose-red flowers that resemble clusters of stars. If you don’t prune it, it produces multiple trunks with slender stems. It has a moderate growth rate.
