Update 12/16/20
I found the belts a bit of a pain to get in one side, so I changed it to be like the other openings. Enclosed with a rounded back, you slide the belt in one hole and it routes itself around to the other other opening without being a pain. 3 of the 4 are like that at this point, the fourth is so easy I don't see the point of adding the weight enclosing it. That may change...but at present, this is the way. Thickmount-V9 is current. Tweaked the BLTouch mount a bit to lower the BLTouch. V3 is current.
Update 12/11/20
My kit finally arrived this week and I got a chance to see how close my original design was. Not bad, but needed a couple tweaks. I've opened the rail section a bit to accommodate the flare at the end of the X-plate that I had not anticipated and changed the alignment on some of the belt holes to be more in line with the pulleys (thickmount-v8). I also designed a couple of endstops that allow the BLtouch to clear the Z-screw on the left and the duct to clear on the right. They do require you to drill two holes in that Xplate, but I cleared it with Ernest first. That gives me 320mm of movement in the X and 330 in the Y. I could move the BLtouch a few mm closer to the heatblock, but I don't believe I will. 320 is plenty for me at the moment. FYI, still in assembly, all of this is as yet untested.
Update 10/7/20
Tweaked the 5015 duct to ease a corner that wasnt printing very well. Braced the non fan attach side of the mount to match...which stiffened the mount up quite a bit more.
UPDATE 10/2/20
Added BLTouch mount. Offsets are (-26,-5) and it sits 3.3 above the nozzle retracted...so I'm not inclined to slot the mount for adjustment...but that could change.
Original Post:
While I wait for my SecKit SkGo to arrive, I've been working on the mount, duct and BLTouch mount in Fusion360. The mount is impressively stiff Atomic's Carbon Fiber PETG. The typical process for me is to make the mounts in PETG to check fit etc then thin them down and mill out of aluminum. Being that this one mounts from the top, nowhere near the heat and won't be enclosed...I may just stick with the printed mount. We shall see...and I'm sure this project will progress once the kit arrives. Things like endstops and chain/cable management could need some rethink once this contraption is hanging from the linear rail.
There are ducts for the 4010 and 5015 fan....the 4010 fits beautifully and many say its more than enough air. That 5015 puts out a hurricane in comparison....I'll test both.
Hardware used:
M3x8mm duct and mount
M3x12 if using BLTouch mount
M4x25 single hole on the 5015 fan.
