I ride bikes, and am of the opinion that you should always have a blinky taillight for visibility when riding on the road. Only problem is I'm forgetful and often fail to turn on my taillight, which kinda defeats the purpose. Because of this, I love the Cateye Reflex taillight ( (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B003WCFJZE/) ) which turns on automatically when you move the bike. (although you do have to tape over the light sensor which normally makes it blink only at night - but that's very easy and covered in my review on the Amazon page)
The big problem with the Cateye taillight is that it comes with two different clamps, and they're both for round seatposts. For most bikes on the market, this isn't a problem, but I have a Giant Defy, which has an aero teardrop-shaped seatpost. Thus, I wasn't able to use the taillight on that bike. However, once a good friend got me interested in 3D printing again, this was one of the first problems I thought I could solve. Even before I had a 3D printer, I had drawn up the design, and am thrilled to say that the first iteration might not be beautiful, but it actually works! I've got several other designs which are several iterations in and still not 100% where they need to be.
This will be a very niche item - only folks with the Giant Defy or TCR with the aero seatpost - but if you're out there, I think you will be REALLY happy to have this option. Transfer the 8mm nut from one of the seat clamps.
