So far, I've been enjoying my Monoprice Ultimate, and obviously one of the best parts of owning a 3D printer is to print parts to make the printer print parts better. To build the robots....
Anyway, somewhere (perhaps the wonderful Duplicator 6 Facebook Group?) I came across a fine person who had suggested the use of a particular Sterilite 16Qt container (Sterilite Model# 16441012, available at Home Depot) as a suitable cheap'n'easy enclosure top. Ran out and bought it, and it works great. Now to keep it in place...
A few iterations later, here are small printable clips that will hold the Sterilite 16Qt container into place - the design I settled on reminded me of a seahorse, so i added a couple embellishments for fun ^.^ (for any who may want it, I made a plain [aka unadorned] version as well) They're easy to put on and remove, but even with just a pair they'll hold it tight. Honestly, I only printed 4 because there's four slots and I'm weird that way. =P
For reference, the ambient room temp is 76F where the printer is kept. With the enclosure lid in place, the printer area can maintain a temp around 90F. (Once I completed my front door, that rose up to 104F!)
