This is a Scotty Mount (male end) to which you can attach a 1-1/4 inch (1.25") 1120 SDR 26 Pipe lengths to create a fishing pole holder for a kayak, canoe, or anything else.
I recommend printing with about 75% infill using ABS. Why ABS? ABS can be cemented to PVC using the right cement, found in most hardware stores -- just look for one that says PVC and ABS. (You will see this on the type I have in an attached photo.) ABS will also better withstand the heat and outdoor elements than PLA.
This is a "customizable" design with all variables at the top of the OpenSCAD file. That means that you can adjust as necessary if your printer is slightly different than mine. I created this in part because other Scott mount male-end STL files found on Thingiverse did not quite fit in my mounts when printed from my printer. Because of this, you should be able to use my imitated Scotty mount male-end base for any variety of other things. Just change the code in the ScottyTop() module.
Also note that this mount base has a cut-out for a 1/4" hex bolt to strengthen the base and to allow you to attach the top other pieces of work. If you don't need the cut out you can modify the file to remove it, or do what I did -- melt some ABS in acetone and fill the hole. It too will strengthen your mount male-end.
I'd love to hear how you end up re-using this file.
