School Shaped Caddy by gracesamuels1

The purpose of my 3D design is to help students virtually. Which is why I made a supply caddy, except there is a twist… it’s school shaped. I made this school shaped because it is for school so you know that you can put your school supplies in there. This is a great remote learning for many reasons, but here are a few. For one, you can put your pencils and sticky notes there maybe if you need a reminder that a test is next Thursday or you need to write notes for class. In my design, there is an opening for the pencils to fit in and on top, there is an intent on the roof to place posted notes. Another reason is so you don’t lose your materials. Not everybody, including me can keep their things in one place, but with this invention it can. It is very great for organization and so you know where all your supplies are without tearing up your study area just to find one!
This wasn’t easy to make, I had a lot of issues I came up against. Such as finding the right measurements, changing the design over and over, and doubting to see if it was actually good or not. But seeing if my invention was printable was the problem I struggled with the most. When I tried to connect my pieces together, It wouldn’t connect and would have a piece hanging out. I fixed this problem by seeing if I really needed those pieces or switching up the design to see if a piece would connect. I thought “What if I just switched my design up?”If I could redesign this again I would probably add a doorknob and a bell.
I just wanted people who used my caddy to know that it was a school without writing the word school on it. By just adding a doorknob or maybe a bell you could infer that it was a school It would be nice to 3D print my design so I could see it in person and see if the measurements are good and if it looks presentable and to improve my design. Overall, the reason I made this 3D design is to help students virtually by putting their school supplies such as pencils and posted notes into a school-shaped caddy so you could easily identify it and to help with organizing your materials.
