his model of a Schnabel - car is not based on a real prototype. It is an impressonate model which just show the typical shape of such a car and has a size to use on most regular layouts.
It uses the bogies used at the Märklin - cars 4617/4618. And the transformer-model which came with Märklin 4617.
Needed parts to complete the car:
Four bogies from Märklin 4617/4618 or other bogies with a 5mm hole. The couplers, buffers and the handrail must be removed from two (the inner) bogies.
Four 1.4x6 bolts and nuts or hard wire (1mm dia.) to mount the transformer-bridge to the arms.
Four M3 screws and 5mm washers to mount the bogies to the bogie-bridge.
To assemble one car you need to print two bogie-bridges (either with or without cab), two arms, one transformer-bridge, one or two roofs for the cab and four bogie - bolts. The bogie-bolts have M3 threads and must be glued to the bogie-bridges.
The sample model shown is finished with filler, partly sanded and sprayed in the red color of the German Railways.
