Carved in stone above the main door of the Schiecentrale are the words 'Electricity Factory', but the boilers, generators and transformers are long gone. This multifunctional building complex now houses many large and small media companies, and the Grand Cafe/Hotel Stroom. The former power-station complex and the building called Schiecentrale 25kV, now accomodate film, TV and music studios, diverse audiovisual media companies large and small, and radio and TV broadcasting stations, and web designers and advertising and communication specialists, and more. Its a multi-media melting-pot of talented creative people, networking at high speed.
