Scalextric Johnson 111 to Mabuchi Motor Adaptor Slot Car by csmith

This adapter allows for the use of a modern Mabuchi motor in place of the Johnson 111 motor in vintage Scalextric models. The spare parts for the Johnson 111 motor are very hard to find while the Mabuchi motor is easily sourced and has much better performance. This adapter is design to mount on to each end of the Mabuchi motor and fit into the mounting clips used for the Johnson 111 motor. Scalextric did produce their own version of this adapter but it is out of production and very difficult to source.
The object is positioned to print vertically as this gives the cleanest shape to the recessed areas that mount onto the motor. There is a small support block under the mounting 'ring' that needs to be cut off with a sharp knife before installing into the car.
