Designed by James Elgar From: Manchester, United Kingdom Shelter location: United Kingdom Date submitted: August 25, 2009 Positioned on the summit of Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England, my shelter is designed as a refuge from the harsh weather conditions. Traditional stone-wall shelters have been used across the British Isles for Centuries, built using the local stone and timber. My shelter circular in design and consists of an air lock, living area with full height glazing, stove and a bed. Roof is moss insulated.
