This is the Mark II of Simple Savonius Wind Turbine.
It use the wind power to rotate the turbine and move some gears (1/3) that move a brushless engine.
It generate a current that power a battery.
Almost all component are self printable in 3D with the material that you prefer and you can print component in a volume of 170170170 mm.
The components of the turbine fit between them.
Parts of the chassis must be anchored with screws.
The advantages are :
-It Begins to operate at low wind speeds (example w = 3m / s)
-Small size
-Do Not visually pollute environment
disadvantages:
-Torque not constant
The sizing is made taking into account the report e / D = 1/6 where D = total diameter of the turbine and e = variance between the two constituents semi cylinder ofturbine.
