Sanchayan Nasa sample collector module is designed to collect the samples from lunar surface. The module is designed in a way that it can be easily connected to any rover or robotic arm.
The entire module can be categorized into 4 segments.
1. Lifting portion - Belt drive and bucket
2. Filtering portion - Funnel and mesh separation
3. Iterative portion - Sample Collecting cylinder
4. Structure and support

Special Features:
1. Turning ladder enables compact fit.
2. The use of bucket and belt drive provide better efficiency in digging and sample collection.
3. Single motor is used for lifting the samples and vibrating the funnel and mesh assembly.
4. In case, there is any anomaly in the sample or unwanted particles fall in the cylinder. Then the bottom cap can be opened to dispose the improper sample and closed back for refilling the new sample. Thus, this will give the option to iterate the sample filling multiple times, until the best is collected.
5. The compact shape provides the freedom to attach the assembly on any rover, robotic arm, etc.
6. The structure has T shaped links. This has given higher strength with significant mass reduction.
7. The assembly has the capability to filter the sample and dispose the unwanted material.
8. Two types orientation can be achieved for fitting in the voids of space craft. This will give the provision to adjust according to the best fit.
