Hardware Needed:
Four - 1/4-20 x 1.00" Long Cap Screw
Four - 1/4-20 Nuts (I chose to use Acorn nuts to be fancy)
Eight - 8-32 x .500" Long Countersunk Flat head Machine Screw
I used a 1/16" aluminum TIG welding rod to hinge the cover to the body. This worked extremly well. I'm sure other things could be used that are the same diameter.
I added holes in the body to let you more easily install the lower mouninting legs with the body mounted. Which I did not originally have when I printed this for my own bike. The phone shold press in very snug. The case cover should snap closed and snap open while staying securely closed unless pulled open by hand. The case opens in a pulling moting when sitting on the bike for easier access. Also, the wind will not blow it closed if opening while riding.
NOTE
This is designed for the OTTERBOX case. Not the phone by itself.
UPDATE: 02/28/2018
After a few months of use, the upper mount has cracked. Mainly from over tightening it. But it still holds the phone safe and secure even while being cracked with no vibration! I will be printing this again soon, this time in PETG. But it has proven to be formidable in the Florida sun and rain even in PLA!
I added some material to the upper mount stem. As well as some other updated design features that are not so noticeable but should translate to a better fitting part and easier to print well. Also added a second cover with my "Logo" I designed for fun. I'm not a business, but if you wanted to show some love and use the one with my Logo, it would be the best way to show some love!
