This is a 3-dimensional model of the Rumi Darwaza which is an old city gate in the present-day city of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. Rumi Darwaza, sometimes referred to as the Turkish Gate, is a gateway that once served as the entrance to the city of Old Lucknow. It was built by the then Nawab of Oudh, Asaf-Ud-Daula, in the year 1784. The structure of this 60ft tall mammoth is a stunning example of Awadhi architecture. Note - This was created as the Final Project for the course 'Exploring the Past in the Digital Present' in the minor 'Digital Humanities' at Leiden University, Netherlands for the session 2020-21 by Bhumika Gupta.
