ROYAL MAIL ELECTRIC TROLLEY

An Electric Postal Trolley (Also known as a Royal Mail Perambulator). I came across a newspaper article recently, which reported the large investment Royal Mail is making in ‘Green Vehicles’ – And, especially Electric. However, these vehicles were in use for many years. I can still remember them in the Early 1960s. There is very little information available, and the model was put together by taking some approximate dimensions from a few photographs that still exist. Unfortunately and just like the Milk Float, this is another item of UK Street-Scene that has disappeared.
