Hey guys
This thing Has been on here for ages and I need legs for my robot that do not cost 6000 dollars per motor.
Now Thanks to the Parametric slew drive on here
We can at least get the joints 3d printed and moving
I Have a long way to go these are by far not finished
Work on them remix them.
There are no robot hips so these need to be worked on
We can weld these leg slew motor covers onto the hips
I have also included the original foot? Why was this even a thing missing here who knows? (I have included it is for all of those people who have printed the original files)
The original pdf is here http://exploredoc.com/doc/3898391/aesthetic-design-and-development-of-humanoid-legged
More needs to be modeled on these so have a look at the files
Again I am just 1 monkey in a man suit
Lets build together
There is only the right thigh on here at the moment and even that is not connected yet.
Just Print twice for the left
Maybe we can finally resolve this file for all of you robot builders out there.
I work a full time job but will do my best to carry on working on these legs to get them working using DC motors.
Currently they still have the nema 17 stepper motor brackets on these files.
I need to change that
Use lithium grade bike grease to lubricate the bearings
You can go and buy 6mm BBs but I just provided the files for these because not everyone can access or find these BBs.
I dont know how well the 3d printed ones will do? Might have to sand them or heat them up to smooth them out
I might buy stainless steal ones 6mm Stainless Steel Loose Bearing Balls that size is normally used in bikes
If you want to grab the rest of the leg just click on the thing I remixed it from the DyRos Humanoid Robot
The only thing I changed really are the slew plates and the large gear and a few other things
I will model a bracket soon that will give is 2 more axis in the hip and top of the leg this will fit in between the slew covers in the leg
*done the highlighted piece has to be fused to some sort of robot hips and I will work on that next to fit on to my robot https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4166931
One thing I did notice is that the bolts will have to be flush when bolting the slew covers together so you can heat up the bolt and melt it in.
Or I can make 3d printed bolts (pins which can be melted in easier. one sec I will add them now (done) solder these pins into the thigh where the thigh connector goes
Oh and at 100 percent infill
I really want to use dc motors instead of nema 17 steppers but lets see how it goes. I am sure its just a simple bracket modification
