NOTE: This Thing has been replaced by a new one:https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2809557
The original RigidBot R1 3D printer does not have the glass.
Due to the construction of the plate and the presence of some bolts, is is hard to mount a glass, since it needs to be cut at measure and the holders may crash against the motor. Here is a very simple and ingenuous glass holder. This THING will allow you to have an easy way to install and remove the glass, so that you can remove it and put on a table "before" applying brutal force on the objects to detach them, without the fear to damage your RigidBot.
This object is designed for a standard borosilicate glass standard size of 250x250 mm.
If you are so lucky to have a custom cut glass of 250x270 mm, then you don't need the printed bricks, and you need to mount just the aluminium bars over the glass with the clips.
Thanks to this THING, you ma use a glass with blue tape for cold print, and another glass only & hair spray for HOT bed ABS print.
The plastic blocks under the bars, are calibrated for a 3mm glass. If you have a different glass height you will need to adjust the STL objects to match your glass height.
REQUIRED MATERIALS:
ALL the printed .STL objects
Borosilicate glass 250x250mm
4 office clips 25 x 10 mm
54 cm of Aluminium profile in L shape (20x10x2) commonly available, to be cut in 2 pieces of 270 mm
