Replicator 2x filament cooling fan by somewebguy

This a filament cooling fan mount for the left nozzle of a Makerbot Replicator 2x. It will probably fit the Replcator 2 also.
It works fantastically and does not interfere with the movement of the carriage.
It is a redesign of a similar part I found on Thingiverse, however this one only cools the left nozzle as I only use the left nozzle to print PLA.
I have designed this part using SolidWorks and have included the original files should you want to make changes.
It is designed to fit standard 40mm radial fan like the ones used on the Replicators, (24V fans!)
I have printed it in ABS, then acetone bathed it to smooth it out.
The fan can be attached using 10mm M3 socket head screws and the mount can be attached to the x axis carriage using M3 screws, or zip ties.
I have run a set of wires for the fan from the 24V rail on the circuit board underneath, and placed a switch on the rear of my machine.
BTW anyone who has a Replicator 2x and has not flashed it with the latest version of the Sailfish Firmware (which can be found on Thingiverse https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:32084 ), I urge you to do so. It makes a HUGE difference to the performance of the machine and the quality of the prints.
