I was kind of surprised by the lack of easy to print Teleprompters or teleprompter parts on Thingiverse, so I set out to create my own! I wanted the parts to be as simple and universal as possible, so I used a piece of wood as the foundation for the project. The hood and camera riser can be mounted wherever needed for the specific camera(s) being used, and parts do not have to be printed to exact dimensions. Regular wood screws hold the camera riser and hood to the rig. A standard piece of glass is affixed to the hood with fish tank grade silicone adhesive. (see instructions below)
The user can create their own brackets or holder for the tablet or phone they plan to use, but I had no issues resting the tablet on the wooden block on level surfaces. I designed this to work with Sony NEX and Alpha cameras that use E mount lenses, but it will probably work with a number of other cameras. You may need to modify the design to make it work for you.
