Raspberry Pi requires a decent power supply or it won't boot. Good USB-C power supplies are not cheap and for a semi-permanent installation I wanted a simple power cord that would stay put (and I wouldn't be tempted to grab the USB-C when I needed it for something else) so I made this.
The case houses a Pi as usual and you can access all the connectors you might want. In a separate compartment sits a Mean Well MFM-15-5 15W 5V power supply module. That's wired to a standard C8 panel mount mains plug. The output of the power supply is wired to the Pi, connecting under the board to the main header power pins. Mine sits on the 3D printer cabinet and has never had a problem. Another sits near the main internet router with PiHole loaded.
Don't do this unless you understand what the power supply is doing how to build this safely.
