In today’s society, it is evident that the majority of the public grapples with a severe phone addiction. Just by walking down the street, one may feel as though they are surrounded by zombies with their heads buried into their smartphones. In order to bring people back into reality, a device must be created to thwart the accessibility of smartphones. The Puzzle Case is a solution which requires the user to perform several steps before accessing the phone. This creates a level of inconvenience that the user would rather avoid, thus preventing him from using the phone. This design is a fusion between an iPhone 6 Plus case and a puzzle box. The case itself is quite large, so the user feels less inclined to hold it in his hand. If each piece is not removed in a specific sequence, the case will be unable to be removed. This requires the user to figure out the puzzle, consequently delaying access to the phone. Ideally these set of circumstances will help to remove users from their phones in order to create a more present and involved society.
