This is an idea that have been on my mind for quite a long time but never had the time to execute it until now.
When I assembled my Sunhokey Prusa I3 3D printer kit, I attached the timing belt to the X-carriage using cable tie as per instruction. As effective as it is, to me the cable tie looks kinda nasty and primitive. That's when I thought a kind of sleeve or ring can be used to clip the belt as a replacement to the cable tie.
It sounded so simple and insignificant but oh well I have a 3D printer anyway so I might as well give it a try.
And so I designed and printed the attached OBJ file and voila!... it works! Now it is easy to clip the belt... easy to remove the clip and put it back (no need to cut the cable tie and put a new one if adjustment needs to be done)... and it is more PROFESSIONAL-LOOKING now.
I liked it a lot.
Hope you find this useful too.
Keep printing everyone... cheers!
