If you've seen my YouTube channel regarding the review of the Prusa i3 MK2 build review if not check it out at: https://youtu.be/CtcQbB6cM5I
you'll know that I talk about the improvement that can be made in the reduced noise during printing can be made using IGUS dryline bearings. But I also mention that using tie-wraps to secure these to the build platform is very bad idea due to minor movement and a much secure method is required.
Well, simply download this IGUS Dryline RJ4JP-01-08 bearing adaptor and install it as normal
You'll need:
3x IGUS Adaptors
6x Square Nut M3nS (5.4 x 5.4mm)
6x M3 x 10 dome head screws
Print Spec:
I used Cura 2.3.0 and settings that worked well for me are.
Material PLA
Highest quality print 0.06mm layer height
Top/Bottom layer 8 high
50% infill
I also enabled Z-Axis retraction which helped reduce stringing.
NOTE:
The side that has the two bearing on the bed plate, IMPORTANT to make sure the recessed part of the bracket is point outwards otherwise this will interfere with the blocks either side of the printer preventing this from reaching the end-stops. (See pic for reference)
