proton thrower control box.
Based on Sean Bishop's plans at:http://www.gbfans.com/wiki/Sean_Bishop's_Prop_Plans
This part is designed use PVC tubing of around 1.25" diameter, The
part will fit tubes up to 33.9mm with some sanding. Packing may be
required for smaller tubes.
If you like these, please post a 'I Made One'. Thanks!!
Fit the switch box and slowblow box using 1/4" x #4 self tap screws. You will need a right angle ratchet screwdriver for the innermost
screw:http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rolson-Offset-Screwdriver-Set-Pieces/dp/B0080R29PE/ref=sr_1_2?s=diy&ie=UTF8&qid=1417561484&sr=1-2&keywords=right+angle+screwdrivers
The switch box is held in place with two 1" x #4 self tappers. If you feel this is insufficient, epoxy the switch box to the end of the
slowblow box.
A clamping piece is used to hold the rear grip tube in place, use
3/4" x #4 self tap screws to hold this in place, and place a couple
more into the tube itself.
The front tube is held in place with two 3/4" x #4 self tappers
screwed diagonally from the bottom of the box. There are two more
holes that can be used to screw the tube in place at the top of the
front tube holder, but these will be inaccessible when the side
panel is glued into place.
Epoxy the side panel into place. I used M3 threaded brass inserts
in the box to allow easy access to the internals by removing the box bottom (see photo).
