@ Helix, I've managed to save all of the shell bodies by saving the .prt file as a .step file. It didn't seem to mind having surfaces deleted after that. Anyway, the only file that gave me a slight issue was reccum_mainconsole, as you can see it saved the legs and some of the frame members all as one body...when it should have been four bodies, top console half, lower console half and two legs. But again, I feel that these files are just in the conceptual stage and would require a lot more work and time to get to the point where they could be used for manufacturing.... getting files ready for injection molding is a BIG job, it's a lot more complicated than just creating a few surface sweeps......I don't think it would be possible to do that within the scope of the challenge. this is something that I could do, but would probably take a few months of work to finalize, but it's something that I could do if you were interested... for now, this is all I can offer. Thanks.

@ Helix, I've uploaded the only files I could produce. Unfortunately something is corrupted with the main .prt file I was working with. The plan was to save all the casing bodies(the one's that I designed) out to separate files, then save those as either .step etc. but I can't do this without crashing. So I've just uploaded all the original files. The file called Recumbant_MainCVR, is the best I could do, it's just the original .prt file with all the unnecessary bodies deleted, even then it's not in the ideal format but better than nothing, I was not able to delete the inner framing within that casing part for some reason it kept merging with the casing.

So all I ask is that you deal with this submission on more of a concept design basis. If per chance, you do like the design and require files for manufacturing, I would have to go back and build all the casings as seperate .prt files...it's doable, just not within this timeframe :). Thanks for looking!

Here is a little teaser of my design for the proteus series of orbital trainers by Helix. After studying the structure and frame, I realized that some of the framing components were actually cool looking and I didn't want to cover them up. So I tried to incorporate those elements into the design, hence some of the exposed frame members. The overall design aesthetic is somewhat future sports bike meets modern automobile interior. The lines are fast and dynamic to give a sense of motion and movement. The chrome accents are just for fun :)...

To Helix, I hope this is in-line with what you're after, it will be my only entry just because time is running out. I will add more renderings and the Upright configuration shortly.

Thank You.
