Give me a shout-out on FB if you use my design! I encourage feedback too if you think it could be improved. I think it works great and you can see the install pictures, Looks scale and is FREE! You're welcome :D
My custom design on a 2012 Ford F-250 style headlight for Pro-Line's F-250 Lexan body pickup, designed for Axial's SCX10 "Honcho". This uses a high/low beam pair (5mm), a turn signal (3mm) as well as a side marker (3mm) in one complete housing. It's definitely close to scale in terms of what it is, and with some sanding and chrome spray-paint it looks good! Enjoy this model, as I know there are other headlight models out there but they cost $20(!!) or more. We spend enough on our scale trucks as it is!
This headlight is V.3 so it has had revisions done. At this point, all it needs is a modest sanding with 150-200 grit sandpaper on the uppermost front section, sand down the radius approximately 1mm or until you deem it fits nicely. Without sanding it does fit at least 90% of the way. Use chrome spray-paint after sanding and paint details, then glue the lens inside the headlight lens cavity! I used "shoe-goo" for my install and used light amounts to ensure no runs. The shoe goo works well after a couple layers are built up, not only is it water-tight but it will also flex with the body very slightly. Enjoy this model!
