I was concerned about melting filament at the direct-drive extruder hob, because of the heat from the extruder stepper. This printed part replaces lasercut part E1 on your Printrbot Simple direct-drive extruder. It allows you to bolt on a 30mm fan that can move air past the direct-drive extruder, keeping it cool.
The new part provides 4 holes for self-tapping screws, and a wider opening to provide a direct air path.

Works best with the early 2013 Printrbot Simple. Compatible with the Early 2013 and Late 2013 models. Not compatible with the early 2014 Printrbot Simple.
